Il Piccolo, 15 January 2009: Asbestos: the government is brought to trial.
The lawyer, Enzo Bonanni, that has pioneered the cause of Italian workers exposed to asbestos announced that the European Court for Human Rights has started a case against the Italian Government defending the rights of those exposed to asbestos during their work.
The Government is accused of having failed to apply article 32 of the Constitution that defends everyone's right to health, since the State has been aware of the harmful effects of the killer mineral since 1943.
